Pegasystems, T-Systems and Greenfield Technology Aktiengesellschaft realize application process platform for Corona emergency aid for 3 Bavarian departments in a short time

As part of the Corona emergency aid programs of the federal government and the Free State of Bavaria, the Bavarian ministries have to deal with a large number of applications in close cooperation with the administrative districts. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs strategically opted for a fully digital solution. The process, from the online form to the decision to the payment, was implemented digitally throughout using a powerful application and process platform. Following the successful go-live at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, two other ministries followed suit with the coronavirus aid application platforms for which they are responsible (see attached press releases). The blueprints and the experience gained in the project for the Ministry of Economic Affairs could be used profitably and thus an efficient e-government infrastructure for Corona emergency aid in Bavaria could be created in a short time.

The online application process is based on a highly configurable low-code platform from Pegasystems. The specific requirements were recorded, tested and technically implemented by Greenfield Technology Aktiengesellschaft in close coordination with the respective Bavarian state ministries. The processes are operated on a secure, highly available and scalable infrastructure in T-Systems' German data centers. In particular, the good and very constructive cooperation between all parties involved enabled very short project runtimes.

In the past six weeks, 316,000 applications have been processed digitally. In addition, the security precautions implemented in the systems have prevented cases of fraud (funds were not paid out) and supported the LKA in its investigations.
