The heavy rainfall and the resulting floods in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate have shaken us all.
Some of the founders of Greenfield Technology Aktiengesellschaft live in the immediate vicinity without having been affected by the floods themselves. As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), they have decided to donate a total of 30,000 euros to the town of Erftstadt, the district of Ahrweiler and the Rhein-Sieg district.
We would also like to appeal for further donations.
From our circle of friends, the Neudorf family suffered greatly from the heavy rain and flooding. Both hit them with full force and destroyed a large part of their home.
Mäggi and Johann Neudorf have three daughters. Last year they bought a house with a horse farm, where they rent out stables for 8 horses. Due to the rapid rise of the flood water, they were woken up in the middle of the night from Wednesday to Thursday, evacuated with their three small children and had to leave everything behind. Two days later, after the water had receded, the damage can only be guessed at: Clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, car and yard equipment are damaged and partially destroyed.
Greenfield employees have provided direct aid to the family.
We would like to invite you to donate so that a place of encounter and joy can be created again in the heart of this crisis area.
